Any chance of recording updated videos
I'm scheduled to record a full suite early next year. Meanwhile, if you have any specific queries re the law content, please do post your query on the Ask ACCA Tutor forum.
(And thanks for your kind words!)
Thanks for taking out the time.
I hve to say Mike, you and your company are doing fabulous work, would definitely recommend to future students.
Do you know if other subjects are also scheduled for renewal next year?
So far i dont have any queries, just that the materials slightly outdated, otherwise A 1.
Heilarslan, so far as I am aware, ALL the other subjects are up to date in terms of lecturing. The law syllabus changes so rarely that it really is not worth while re-recording as minor changes take effect.
You say that the material is 'slightly outdated'. When you remember that the Earl of Oxford's case was from 1610 (and that's not ten past four!) maybe you'll appreciate that much of law is festering in the archives of centuries ago.
OK?
Understood mike, Dont know that one because im studying global variant, but got your point
Thanks for keeping in touch.
OK, not directly relevant to Global but, fyi, Oxford's case was the one that determined that, in the event of a clash between Equity and Common Law, Equity should prevail.
I bet that has brightened your day!
It definitely has, read the wikipedia article, find it quite interesting.
(Sorry for replying late, i was celebrating 14 August with my family)
And I was celebrating 15th August but not because of any independence influence. It happens to be my birthday :-)
Happy Birthday, may you and your loved ones live a long and fulfilling life:)
Whats your opinion on using study hub for main reading material?
Ive been using opentuition content for every exam ive cleared, but now im slightly confused whether to which i should rely on.
I have no strong opinions on the use of study hubs. I have long felt that exam success can (relatively) easily be achieved by the sole use of OpenTuition notes, videos and extensive use of a Revision Kit containing hundreds of exam standard multiple choice questions.
If you were a university student or a researcher looking to prepare a paper for critical appraisal then, sure, go as deep as you are able into a wide variety of information resource.
To pass an ACCA exam needs (in my opinion) a good knowledge of the subject matter without the necessity of a deep dive.
It's your decision ... but I know which way I would go if I were faced with such an issue :-)
Hope that helps
So its really about not over-complicating.
Thanks Mike, it definitely helped clearing my confusion
When have you scheduled your exam? Whenever you get stuck, post on this forum and I'll be happy to help
OK?
Happily sir, Thanks for your kind considerations!!
I have it scheduled for 28th of this month
